GADs Give Back Starting in 2018 as an initiative for attendees to give back to the host city for the annual GAD Institute, we’re proud to continue this tradition for the 7th year. This year’s recipient is Family Promise of Spokane. Family Promise of Spokane has served the community since 1998, starting with a small network of churches to support almost 50 families a year. In 2016, they established Open Doors, a 24/7 emergency walk-in shelter for families. Their growth continued in 2018 with the creation of the Neighbors Prevention program and Village aftercare program serving over 1,000 people within two years. With family homelessness at crisis levels, Family Promise of Spokane continues to support their community and families working towards the goal to end child homelessness in Spokane County.
